RM Gems was founded by Ramon Martinez in 2001, focused on quality diamonds, design and craftmanship in the wholesale jewelry industry. Originally from Cuba, Ramon started his career in the diamond business in 1969 in New York City's Diamond District off 5th Avenue at Leterna Diamond. He moved to Miami in 1980 to launch Gems of America , where he served as president and part owner until 1992 when the company was sold .He then co-founded TMGems, where he remains as president and owner. In 2001 , he opened a subsidiary called RMGems , where he serves as president and owner focusing his passion and expertise in diamonds and fine jewelry doing business with retailers in the US and across Latin America .
